What is the main reason for you that lead you to start doing music

ENERGYNEVERDIESS
When I was a kid at the age of 4 up to 10 years old is when it all began. My sister (Christina Faye) would play MTVs the Box all day every day it was there that I discovered a wide range of artists such as Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Blood has shed, Eminem, Kurt Cobain & Nirvana, Korn, & from there my love for music grew even more. My mother (Frances Loretta Wright) would play old school. My older cousin (Brandon Jamael) would play me his songs he recorded. My father (Christopher Hugh Hamilton sr.) would play Reggae he taught me how to Wright music and count bars but I no longer write I just go from the mind these days. I remember pretending to be Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, Kurt Cobain, Jay Z. Lil Wayne, Kanye West & Eminem at a very young age as their songs played I would visualize myself performing on stage.

You have stated you've decided to transition from hip hop to metal, why metal in particular

ENERGYNEVERDIESS
I have always been a huge fan of Linkin Park, Ozzy Osborne, Killswitch Engage, Slipknot, Nirvana, XXXTENTACION, Korn, Arcade Fire & Blood has shed, Howard Jones of Light The Torch & Killswitch Engage & Chester Charles Bennington of Linkin park are my 2 biggest inspirations when it comes to screaming metal core & metal. The choice to fully transition to Metal, Nu Metal & Alternative Rock is something I always wanted to do anyways. People always said I could rap so I stuck with that as well I love hip hop and I really love to freestyle but I have so much love for Rock-N-Roll. Im more of a loner and the Rock & Metal songs I always related to as well as hiphop I just love music all around I always felt I never fit in with the kids at school I knew I was different. but Ill always have respect for the craft of Hip-Hop its how I began music but I always knew I wanted to be a Rock Artist also It was just a matter of time.

As an artist, perhaps nothing is more important than finding one's voice and sound, also evolving it. Explain how that process has been for you

ENERGYNEVERDIESS
The process of finding my sound took many years I started music at 13 years old and I began to take it more seriously in 2018 when I exploded with rage from nothing ever going right in life so I created a song called Satans Plan. This got me signed to an independent Label by the name of Hitplay founded by multi platinum & Grammy winning creators & producers The Exclusives in Atlanta Georgia. With artists such as August Alaina, Jugg Nino & many more. Then when I moved to California to link with my bro Dab of Sony Records, platinum R&B soul singer Lucky Daye & Grammy Award-winning Engineer Gary B. I kept evolving. I always want to evolve when you stop evolving you stop living. I dont know where I would be without music & art.

Being born in New York, how was it growing up on the east coast, do you believe it affected your taste in music

ENERGYNEVERDIESS
Being from New York did not affect my taste in music I always traveled and bounced around a lot from Nyc, Dallas Texas, California, Miami Florida & Atlanta. I love all music my sound is a blend of many artists that I have fused together all in one & added my own twist and made it my own sound.

If for whatever reason you had to walk away from making music, what would you do with your life?

ENERGYNEVERDIES
If I  had to walk away from music I would be doing horror films I am a huge James Wan & Stephen king fan I really love horror of all kinds. Sinister, The Conjuring & Insidious are some of my favorites its wicked I love wicked shit. Also sketches and art such as painting etc. I sketch all my covers I love art and film. But to be honest I would never stop the music I love music so much so even with me doing those things I would still have to create music if not I would go crazy

You mention your status as controversial, what's been the hardest thing for people to accept about you

ENERGYNEVERDIESS
My battle with depression, suicide & drug addiction over the years since the age of 13 around the time I started to begin to record music I have been battling myself and trapped in my mind. What some people may not accept others will. My truth is what sets me apart and makes me unique. Its not all about what people accept. But about the importance of people building a connection with the emotion of the music. Music is an artistic expression which should not be placed in a box nor tamed.

What's the hardest sacrifice you've had to make in your life

ENERGYNEVERDIESS
Losing friends & health to make sure I create the best music & art has always been a sacrifice that I have made & had to pay. Watching some of my old friends & family from school do good in life and as I put my everything into music and art. But Im too afraid to give up on music things are already starting to pay off one day Ill be one of the biggest rockstars of all time. This is my calling so I dont regret it at all. I love music and I want to leave a mark. I care so much about my legacy and when others dont care as much as me life seems to have us drift apart. But I have always been a loner anyway.

You mention your struggles with anger and mental health, how do you plan on tackling these issues? What would you recommend to those in similar situations as yourself

ENERGYNEVERDIESS
Im still dealing with mental health and anger issues just like the rest of the world Im just honest and open about it in my music. but I have gotten much better over time. I have lost people behind drug addiction as well. My music is my therapy and it helps me cope with the pain I have experienced in life from such a dark road to being shot at and much more sinister things that are weird that happen to me when I was homeless at 14 I dont want to speak on that part just yet. But to all the people going through a struggle with mental health issues and all I would say is try and focus on something you love to find inspiration in the pain. It may not ever fully go away but it will help you to balance the issues and cope with the struggle much better. We all have our own demons that we must face before our time is up. I just hope that my music can be a tool to pull those out of depression, pain, and mental illness.
