My family lived in a beautiful apartment consisting of 8 people: the father, Nabil; the mother, Manal; the grandmother, Naama; my twin brothers, Muhammad and Fadl; my sister Doha, who has special needs; and my sisters Hala and Shahad.
On October 7, 2023, our lives changed forever as war erupted. Forced to flee our home in northern Gaza on October 13, 2023, we sought refuge in southern Gaza, only to find equally dire conditions. Now living in a government school, overcrowded with displaced people and lacking necessities, my family endures hardship daily. My sister Doha, confined to a wheelchair, suffers immensely from the lack of space and accessible facilities.
Seeking safety, my family aimed to leave Gaza, but the exorbitant fees required by the Egyptian Ya Hala Company, responsible for issuing permits through the Rafah crossing, were beyond our means. The fees are $5,000 for each adult and $2,500 for each child, amounts that are unattainable for us after six months of war with no income, relying solely on food aid for survival.
We launched this campaign to raise travel fees and pay the Ya Hala Company to save my family's lives from the death that haunts them at every moment. We appeal to you to contribute to saving my family from death by donating even a small amount. Every contribution makes a difference, even if it is one euro.
